Mines
6,649,312 [t] of coal were mined out of our mines in 2013. To meet the needs of TPP Bitola, 4,460,901 [t] were excavated out of the Suvodol mine and 1,903,365 [t] out of the Brod Gneotino one. To cater for the needs of TPP Oslomej, 285,025 [t] of coal were hauled out of the Oslomej – West mine, and 21.6 [t] of coal were delivered with a discontinuous mechanization from the local Star Rudnik mine, which is a part of the former Oslomej - East one.

Coal and crude oil consumption in the production of electricity
The following quantities were consumed for the production of 3,742.6 GWh at the thermal power plants:
Coal ........................ 6.612.971,00 [ t ] or 1,77 kg/kWh
Crude oil ........................ 30.835,00 [ t ] or 8,24 gr/kWh
The overall production in the thermal power plants, as compared to the previous year, amounted to 715,511 [t] or [9,76 %] less coal and 7,688 [t] or [33.21 %] more crude oil. The increased consumption of crude oil is a result of the lower quality of the coal, which may be seen from the value of calories of the coal expressed in kJ/kg.
