Scholarships to students from FEIT
The best 14 students from power departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT), which in time have completed the first year, averaging over eight received scholarships from energy companies ELEM, MEPSO and EVN Makedonija. The monthly scholarship amounts to 6000 denars. Support for scholarships for the best students from FEIT is being implemented for the third consecutive year and is a powerful incentive for prospective students to enrol at the Faculty.
In recent years, socially responsible practices are an integral part of the business of "Elektrani na Makedonija". Help and support of society is inseparable part of the development of the entire community, especially with activities that directly promote the advancement of education and science.
Energy companies with scholarships recruit the best faculty and staff and contribute to support of the educational process. Campaign and efforts of the Faculty and the Government to study at technical Faculties, increased the number of students on power departments by three times.
JSC ELEM wrote off debts of citizens
JSC “Elektrani na Makedonija” joined the action of the Ministry of Finance for single writing off debts of citizens. The Management Board of the Company decided to write off the debts of the citizens for the used thermal energy supplied by the subsidiary of JSC ELEM, "Energetika".
The one-time write-off will be applied to debt used for thermal energy as of December 31, 2013 that is not collected for more than 12 months, for which recovery proceedings are started. The right to one-time write-off of debts can be exercised only by citizens who as debtors meet the requirements of the existing law.
